I only posted to you because a gal I worked with a long time ago was absolutely convinced she had to feel some sort of magical "connection" with the person she would marry. She went out with a lot of (I thought) really decent men, and never had a lasting relationship in all the time I knew her. I have no idea whether she ever found someone, or whether in the end desperation or maturity caused her to lower her sights. But I have always felt that infatuation is actually dangerous and can blind you to serious incompatibilities with the object of ones obsession. I think people who marry friends probably last a lot longer than people who marry under the influence of wild crushes. But hey, I can't prove it. :-)
