Questions, lots of questions, Shalom. . .

This is an interesting spin on the Christmas tradition. So you argue that Christmas is a celebration of Christs conception. Why is this the first time I have heard it told this way? What makes you believe that Zecheriah's public service ended on the occasion of this particular festival? How would anyone know of this date? if it was a celebrated occasion in the first century congregation why is it never mentioned in the rest of the Gospel or New Testiment like say the memorial of Christs death? Why does the date fall on the same day the Romans and other pagans worship the sun? Why do all the stories regarding christmas revolve around the account of his birth not conception? Why is there no record of the apostles or other first century christians celebrating this occasion? How can you be sure that the very day that Zecheriah conceived was the day he returned home? The account records in terms of months not days - In the sixth month of pregnacy could mean six months exactly, six months one week, six months three weeks, six months two days, six months five days etc etc ....

In the end, if this is such an important date why would it not be clearly documented as such?

Please convince me of the truth.

ps: this still does not discount the pagan symbols used in christmas celebration. ie: pine tree, mistle toe, and such.
