ya know...if I were into conspiracy theories.... The only thing our fearless leaders in the gov are allowed to invest in, or allow social security to invest in, is treasuries. how much of this 1982-2000 bond cycle was engineered by the feds to bail out Social Security? As soon as Mr Green can get the 30 year down to 2.5% he has Social Security bailed out of trouble for the boomers... An interesting game, eh? And the reason for the spread between treasuries and corporates...
