Paul Allen pulls Datek investment Vulcan Ventures, the venture capital fund financed by Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft (Nasdaq:MSFT), has pulled out of its part of a planned $300 million investment in Datek Online Holdings Corp, the New York Times said on Thursday. The investment was being pulled partly because of concerns about criminal and regulatory investigations into the privately held online brokerage firm, the newspaper said, quoting sources close to the issue. --Reuters zdnet.com
