I don't know what would have happened if I had persued it. As it was, the stock went higher and I got out better than I would have if they had filled me.

By Nasdaq rules, you are supposed to notify your broker and your broker is supposed to call the other party (in this case MASH) within 5 minutes of the incident. Since my broker didn't do this and quite a bit more than 5 minutes elapsed by the time I talked to Nasdaq, I don't know how it would have played out.

All the lady told me was that MASH had liability and I could persue the matter with a formal complaint. Presumably it would have been arbitrated.

The backing away was at 7 3/4. Maybe if the stock gets down to 6 it will be worth buying just to see if I can get a 7 3/4 fill on my sell thru Nasdaq (just kidding).
