FWIW:(COMTEX) B: PACEL Corp. Submits Patent Application For e-Centurion
B: PACEL Corp. Submits Patent Application For e-Centurion

MANASSAS, Va., Nov 14, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- PACEL Corp. (OTC: BB, PLRP) has
submitted the patent application for its new virus and intrusion protection
software, e-Centurion(TM), David Calkins, president of PACEL, announced today.

The patent application covers both the e-Centurion(TM) product and its
underlying security engine, the PACE Module (Pre-Access Control Element).

e-Centurion(TM) is designed to protect computer data files and to thwart
unauthorized access attempts through a revolutionary process. By responding to
all requests for file access, and identifying the requesting application, the
program determines which applications are allowed to access files and which are
unauthorized.

e-Centurion(TM) provides total virus and intrusion detection without the need
for detecting specific viruses. Unlike commercially-available anti-virus
products, it does not require periodic updates.

e-Centurion(TM), while designed to target the macro viruses that have proved so
destructive in the past, is equally effective in preventing intrusion attacks,
such as the web page alterations that dogged both the Gore and Bush campaigns.

PACEL Corp. has planned an entire new line of computer security products based
on its innovative PACE Module. The PACE Module is designed to allow computer
users to configure files, file types (JPG, AVI, DOC, TXT, etc.), and directories
to prohibit all access or to permit access only by authorized programs.

It can also designate files as "read-only," "read-only by authorized
applications," "no copy," "no move or delete," and similar combinations. This
flexibility protects files from:

-- unauthorized access that tries to steal information (privacy protection from
hacker attacks)

-- malicious code that tries to delete or corrupt files (macro virus protection)

-- Trojan-type attacks that attempt to infect system files with their own code
(hidden executables).

Versions of the software for individual PCs, servers, and enterprise systems are
expected to become available in retail outlets and to OEMs during the first and
second quarters of 2001. Installation of this technology can prevent outsiders
from accessing your company data, even after penetration of your firewall and
trusted passwords (as reportedly experienced by Microsoft Corporation).

"Although our new security product may render some anti-virus software obsolete,
we envision it as a complement, not a competitor, to many products now on the
market," stated Calkins.

"Our potential customer base includes the hundreds of organizations worldwide,
both government and commercial, that suffered devastating work stoppages due to
the "Love Bug" and similar viruses earlier this year.

"e-Centurion(TM) allows companies to continue normal internal communications
while the corporate security staff identifies the attacking virus and applies
the necessary patches to their anti-virus software."

Representatives from PACEL Corp. will be available to demonstrate the new
software at Fall Comdex, the nation's largest computer tradeshow, which begins
November 13 in Las Vegas.
