Scotsman, once more: It is better for consumers to have compatibility and standards. Period. And btw, there is no law against monopolies per se, according to news articles. It is only when monopolies engage in practices detrimental to the consumer that the govt needs to step in. You have a choice. Excercise it. You don't want Win95 or Win98, buy a Mac. Buy OS/2.
