These are the sort of assertions I love. The Hollywood Ten and one dumb blonde got smeared. Amerikkka in the '50s was a paranoid right-wing zoo! Surely the darlings on the Left have a version of the Vietnam Wall inscribed with all the victims of the Amerikkkan Inquisition. Didn't we put them all in death camps? I forget. You know, the Left knew the truth. Ho Chi Minh and Pol Pot were democrats, agrarian reformers, the George Washingtons of SE Asia.

Certainly. Next time I see David I'll set him straight. What would he possibly know about communist treachery? People he knew helped North Viet Nam devise a strategy for defeating America by molding public opinion in the States. I'd say they succeeded. It kept North Viet Nam from ceasing the War and certainly caused the deaths of many more American troops. Communism may have been a big joke in the college circuit, it wasn't so funny to GIs in Korea and Vietnam. And we spent a lot of money insuring that there would not be an invasion into Western Europe. Of course, maybe the Warsaw pact had their military to keep hordes of fun-loving westerners from flooding the garden spots of the world.
