Oh, I think he believes very firmly in Linux!!! (I know he's been using it for a few years now, but I don't know ANYthing about it) But I think that's his point --that you have to look at what is only potential at this time, and that the old investing rules aren't valid for these technologies. ANd that when something is deemed "hot"-- as Linux is- you find the company in the best position with that product or service and go with it. Since he's computer science at Rice, he hears a lot of the tech stuff (which I think is what he means by "hot"--- not a fad, but the future). Maybe I should listen to him?
