This link shows MSFT revenue higher in 2002 than it ever has been and EPS slightly higher than the previous year.

the article should have waited till 2002 was finished and in the books....... or atleast referenced MSFT's actual financial reports, where MSFT shows one set of books EPS so far down for the year, and the other set of books also so far down for the year......

depending on which set of books you want to use from MSFT.....

hopefully GAAP will make it just one set of books for every company...... to save all the typing, and extra books MSFT has to write up.....

it's also funny that you suddenly want to use reported earnings, when MSFT reports "investments" as part of their earnings numbers... but then splits out these same "investments" when they have losses.... making them instead "one time" losses... so that they don't show up on reported earnings to the street when they have these losses......... a very slippery way to do business... course MSFT does it.... why not you... i guess....
