A new paper shows that rain forests are much more resilient than we thought.

In the figure, you see the amount of biomass in rain forests in America (mostly the Amazon), Africa and Asia.

All models predict *more* biomass in Africa and Asia towards the the end of the century. And 21 of 22 models show more biomass in the Americas and Amazonia.

Yet, over the past years we have heard several times that climate change across Amazonia could cause catastrophic die-back of forest cover and biomass. Turns out these predictions were based on that one, outlier model.
