The type of market makes a big difference as well. I had a Neural Model that looked like it was a real killer until July when Market internals changed. Fortunately, I was not pro-actively using it when it imploded. Which brings up another issue. Perhaps the model is designed well for the "next" change in the market and whips the daylights out of you because you are reverse trading what has become a "sound" generator. The ins and outs of all this are giving me a headache.
