Steve Ballmer now makes it public what everybody knows: Linux IS cheaper. varbusiness.com An easier to read version here: theregister.co.uk Ballmer: "We haven't figured out how to be lower priced than Linux. For us as a company, we're going through a whole new world of thinking." And this is what .net, services etc. is all about - how to make money when the low TCO of Linux brings down the earnings on the traditional "OS" and "Office suite" markets.
