DH and Others: This is how option accounting works under the old rules. Nothing evil. Excerpted from Yahoo- presented by very experienced CPA: hey, you wonder why Yahoo and MSFT are fighting tooth and nail so that GAAP rules are not changed by paying lobbiest to lobby congress.... gee.... ya think maybe because it exposes the expense to the earnings reported to the street?
