about Yahoo competition.. and the MSFT Yukon engine (soon to be released) (a forward looking statement :-D See the "Search" button on your browser: MSIE has one and so does Netscape Navigator. Seems logical that MSFT will replace the current pleutora of selections with Yukon. As IExplorer becomes more and more integrated with the PC desktop - searching will become seamless and will tend to bypass the "traditional" search engines widely deployed by users today. That ought to take a significant bite off Yahoo's traffic. Sure Yahoo! is far more than an engine: but check out your "Channels" (if you have them - and all PCs will with in 12 months). IMHO piece by piece the channels beat Yahoo! services. This too ought to take a bite off Yahoo!'s traffic. Netscape too is pumping steroids into its own Web presence; and that cannot be all that great for Yahoo! either. What does this mean for the stock - probably nothing, but it seems to me that the seeds of REAL competition have been sawn..
