When comparing to previous periods, I think the key points are 1) the current rapid rate of temperature change and 2) the overwhelming evidence of man's contribution to warming.

As the program pointed out, man will adapt. On the economics, I suspect that a concerted effort to reduce emissions will actually help the economy - as it will spur new innovations and technology.

I thought the program was decent, but I didn't like some of the editing - ideas and evidence seemed disjointed at times.
