I believe that Liquid Audio is a participant in SDMI. But they may serve to implement the watermarking system selected. Several weeks ago there was a link (on Raging Bull, I believe) to a story about a firm which was going around the SDMI process to sell watermarking services and had some industry heavyweights backing them. It wasn't LQID, it was a private company, but I don't recall the name.
