Bitter? Not really. Just look at the figures. Adjusted for inflation, the middle class has lost ground by just about every measure you look at. The poor, even more.

Again, this has not been the case for me. By surfing the tech wave, I've gone from the bottom tax bracket to almost the top. But I am an outlier. The same cannot be said for most Americans. As any brief perusal of the stats over the past few decades will show.

And that concerns me because a declining economy directly impacts me.

So bitter? I have nothing to be bitter about. I do have a lot of concern about the future because one of the two political parties has taken to believing in unicorns and magic. Which usually would just be amusing. However, since they insist on basing policy on it, despite all of the data showing exactly how wrong it is, well. ..
