Greetings,
Newbie that I am, I just learned the definition of "Buy-Write", as it applies to writing covered calls. Here's my question:

Since the end result is a lower cost basis on the initial stock purchase, it seems like a very desirable thing to do, most of the time.

When wouldn't you do it?
