Why not wait until the platform was ready to go? I don't understand their thinking?"... Maybe they were thinking they had to announce just to get the motherboard makers interested in making K7 mobos. Now, the mobomakers look like idiots, not AMD. Then again, a cpu without a motherboard is like no cpu at all. No consolation. The mobos will come...but as we all know in this CPU business, lost time is lost opportunity that cannot be recovered. Jim
