Maybe they were thinking they had to announce just to get the motherboard makers interested in making K7 mobos. Now, the mobomakers look like idiots, not AMD. Then again, a cpu without a motherboard is like no cpu at all. No consolation. The mobos will come...but as we all know in this CPU business, lost time is lost opportunity that cannot be recovered.
