C'mon. Do you mean to tell me that you wouldn't be bothered if the people in line ahead and behind you at the grocery store got their blueberries for a buck but you had to pay two for yours? Seems to me I recall you being pretty tight with a buck. <g>

Two people can rent a motel room for the same price as one -- heck, you're paying double for your pillow and towel.

You're going off on tangents again. When you rent a motel room, you rent the room. You pay by the room, not the person, because the room is the expense unit for the motel. Two people share the facilities. When you attend a gym, two people use twice the facilities. I don't care if a couple pay less as long as they walk on the treadmill in tandem but if they're using two, they should pay for two. If I have to wait for a treadmill because they are occupying two, I'd be even more annoyed.
