:O) and ROTFL with ironic glee..... :0)
Actually, this is rather interesting. I obtained the TITT packet and brought it to GRNO's attention back last spring.
The technology is interesting and there exists an extensive reserve of tires to convert throughout the country, let alone the world.
Hasn't done a hell of a lot for TITT stock valuation though.
What TITT claimed that they produced with their pyrolysis process is a quantity of "fuel oil" that seemed to contain a mixture of lighter hydrocarbons and #2 fuel oil. I may be incorrect, but I believe they were looking at using it for off-road #2 diesel, but I was somewhat skeptical of the company's claims. (I actually called them in New Mexico.)
Personally, I thought that GRNO and TITT would have fit together rather nicely somewhere down the road, should Titan's technology prove commercially viable.
I also question the price per barrel of the final product, especially in light of the fact that utilities can obtain #4 fuel oil at a much more reasonable price. Thus, begging the question, where will they sell their final product?
But Ned, bringing this news to our attention is certainly not "being negative". That is, unless you own shares in this company and are attempted to "bait & switch" us out of our GRNO.... <VBG>
One question for Titan is that they utilize a boiler flare system which is basically what GRNO's #200's had. You now have a question of VOC's, and other emmissions that will require all of the requisite permits.
I'll give the other press releases a good look. And since W.VA is so close, maybe I'll keep an eye on their progress. Someone else has the Louisiana tasking.
BTW, Titan can be found at titt.com
