I don't like its readings compared to other packages' computation. It depends on what you get used to. I could use it but I would have to adjust triggers or periods. There has been a number of articles that suggest CCI(40) is the best setting for stocks. I use CCI(13) for calling short term tops.

I look at CCI as an overbought/oversold indicator.
