Jim, It looks like you should be in good shape tax-wise next year. To be honest I have not tried options B & C.

A question I have about a capital gains tax cut is when would it kick in. Tax increases have been retroactive to include the calendar year but it is possible a tax reduction may not be retroactive.

From the storefront, HP, Compaq and accesories look to be moving good. I heard a story about WalMart moving Compaq computer products to thier busiest stores. We have one that goes all the time so I thought I would check it out. The entire display area was Packard Bell. The only Compaq computer was in another area on the floor and poorly displayed.
It is possible Compaq's were moved out of the store but the sales clerk said sales had wiped them out.

It sounds like the retailers may have gotten themselves into a pickle by having minimal inventory. Maybe additional spillover to mailorder?

Pat
