so what do we do?

Dig a hole, fill it with 78 RPM records, canned goods, and ammunition, and until we need it party like it's 1999?

Aren't there too many unknowns?

There worst case is terrible -- the Saudis are 20 years past peak, and when their wells start to sputter they don't decline then go into tertiary stage which means drips. 10 years later natural gas just stops. All that and we already know there is no chance the Beatles can get together again...

But there's no proof of that, just as there's no confidence in the Saudi's claim they can pump for 30 more years meeting word demand.

Isn't it too early to give up?
