If you listened to his speech today, all that spying was cleared by Justice and thru top congressional leaders of both parties. The only valid point i heard against what bush said was from Julian Epstein, a democrat advisor, who said there is a special court he should have run this by that Bush had bypassed. But for Epstein this was more a technical issue than any violation of law. He was very quick to tell dems to shut up about impeachement.
What we have here is a classic battle over the extent of executive power vs courts and congress for that matter. This fight has raged througout our history and its usually settled by compromises. mike
