Truman: Very nice post on the Gore possibilities. IMHO the office of
the President is very weak now and will be for the forseeable future.
Gore may have very little effect because his agenda will be not to
screw up before the year 2000 elections and the Republicans in
congress will easily be able to knock any of his hairbrain schemes off track. Gore has no mandate. Gore can not lie convincingly and Gore has not built up a reservoir of goodwill amongst the main stream
media types. Our culture is such that we tend to swing to extremes. Perhaps a better way to put it would be that we tend to over compensate. Clintons words were rarely questioned. Gore will have to explain everything he says.

He who governs least governs best. Through circumstances, Gore will govern little and I believe that investors will react favorably.

Just my thoughts.
