Guys,

Another "bugaboo" on cablemodems that you don't find out unless you do a little digging is that they *can* have an upstream speed as low as 33K! That's slower than my 56K modem, so while cable modems are great for websurfers and filesuckers, people who are attempting to place super-fast orders may find themselves better off with at least 56K.

I agree with funk and WHG on ADSL, though. If you can get it in your area, it is definitely the way to go. Funk, I'd go with the dual modem right now, but I'm only wired for two lines and my wife would kill me if I used another one...that's why I'm doing the 56K thang and waiting for ADSL.
