The Times has admitted that the story on alleged US spying on Al-Qaida linked phone numbers in the US has been embargoed for a year. So when do the Times and the WaPo choose to break it? Why, today of course, just in time to rain on the Iraqi election good-news parade.

Yeah... creating the news, rather than reporting it...

I just wish Bush would call their bluff and take it directly to the American people and ask them whether they are willing to risk a terrorist operating in this country for the sake of the "privacy" of someone calling from Iraq to the United States.

Listen.. I had a cell phone all last year (doesn't work from my current location) and was calling the states from here in Iraq. Do I think that someone was "plugging in" on my conversations?

Probably.... And I'm sure they received quite an "earful" from some of those conversations. (my girlfriend is pretty "vocal", if you know what I mean.. ;0)

But hey... I have to keep up the morale on the homefront. LOL!!!
