First and foremost, I believe that any good news would have sparked a rally on Friday. This expectation was discussed by a few on Thursday and again Friday before the open. It was damn due. It's but a tiny bounce so far, and counts as no more than a wiggle.

It does tell me two things:

1) The dipsters still believe in the power of rate cuts. This is odd, but hey, it's pretty well been a whole year now characterized by denial.

2) Bear Stearns made a fortune.
