Shivu, for the current market I have adjusted the CSCO/BAY mixture according to my sense of risk/reward. The article highlights the relative risks which are known. The unknown is the probability of each outcome occurring .. that is what makes a market and investing.

CPQ ... it depends on one's expectation of the stock's performance. Earnings is reported in mid-April. There is support at 22-23 and stronger support at 17-18. The Asian situation is just one of CPQ's problems. More importantly it has to get an effective business model in place and assimulate the DEC acquisition. The business model and the vertical integration of DEC is more than a one quarter challenge and may take a few quarters to quantify the bottomline impact. This quarter CPQ prewarns about business slowdown and inventory problems, how about next quarter it says that DEC won't be accretive until '99.

Where do you expect CPQ to be trading at in Oct and what do you hope to achieve by selling Oct 30p next week? And what is your exit plan if the market or CPQ caves between July and Oct? Your answers to these questions will help refine your options strategy, if need be.
