... Voting, when called for, is good. Voting is ALWAYS good, even when it results in negative outcomes. Because people MUST have "skin in the game" and they will far more willing to comply with economic and political policies if they know they have a chance to influence those decisions. If a bad decision results in bad policies (ala TARP, and so many issues in the US), the people can only blame themselves for electing the representatives who made those decisions on their behalf.
