Vic- it is a lot easier and faster to change a drive in a tower CPU than to change a flat tire or wiper blade on your car. The last time I changed a drive it too 10 min to figure out 3 hands were needed to open the box, 1 min to change the drive 4 min to clean the dust out (3 years accumulation) and about 5 to put the cover back and reconnect.. it really is easy changing hardware... most cannot get over the fear of opening the box the 1st time.
Never get rid of the box you are replacing. 2 on hand are a must incase 1 goes down for a day or 2. LOL! I have 3 boxes here from 200 - 600 mhz and a laptop 200 mhz. You do not need to network them even though it is easy. With 2 or more phone lines just keep you main hooked up and add software to a free ISP on another line incase more than 1 are running at the same time. Cable eliminates the 2 line problem but your ISP will not allow 2 on at the same time without an extra fee.
If you do get another--- keep the old and replace the battery yourself... one screwdriver is all the tools you'll need.
Luck
