I agree with you on the short. That is far too risky for me. That is why I am only buying puts which limit my downside. I'm gambling that this Internet mania cannot sustain itself for 30 more days. Yes, it is most definitely a gamble, therefore I have limited my potential losses to the puts. I do feel we are on the verge of a bubble burst. I can almost feel it, intuitively. For whatever a gut feeling is worth.

Do protect yourself on the downside Larry. I know only too well what it is like to make a small fortune, then get wiped out by holding on. If you have made lots of money, maybe buying some puts yourself is good insurance. These stocks can gapdown overnight, and you could lose a small fortune if the gapdown is beneath a stop loss.
