oh man, dont you wish. i agree with casey, an insider who has seen first hand the caliber of management at amdahl. dont be fooled by the purchases of DMR and trecom. amdahl has bought and sold companies, and started and killed more often than i change my shorts. they're grasping at straws trying to compete in a brave new world. the market has turned its back on big iron, and thats all these guys really know. moreover, these two new additions to amdahl dont represent a significant contribution to the mass revenue the company does enjoy. again, recognize that amdahl is a $1.5B company. the two companies together represent maybe 10% of the take. you asked me about better places to park your money. i have my favorites: cellnet (cnds), ~$14 netcom (netc), ~$13 amd (amd), ~$28 any of these represent better opportunity than amdahl which will vassilate in the low teens for the forseeable future. d
