Sounds like a wise move. LSI is a stock for anyone
that believes in the future of the networks
and digital technology and that it isn't a passing
fad. Believe it or not some people cannot visualize
a future with more digital applications than we have today.

I think LSI's general product line will do well but I think
the controversial internet box could do better than expected,
because of the following reasons:

Everywhere you look companies are listing their internet address.
This phenomenom cannot be ignored. Today I called the Recycler
and phoned in an ad. I asked if they had an internet address and
he said yes. Every newspaper and magazine is spending more time
discussing the internet and whats available on it. Print media
will become more and more of a springboard to the real content,
building on the internet. The easiest way in the future for the
average family across the country to use the internet will be through
a box in the kitchen or wherever that can be turned on immediately and
preprogrammed with easy selections for the local movie house to see
what movies are playing and at what time, see who's playing at the forum
and buy tickets, check the local weather, put ads in the paper, get more info on the ad they just saw in a
magazine. Banking and other functions will be made easy with the
box. An idiot will be able to use it to get useful information.

I think the internet box will not be a computer, but a new product
that is more of a "communicator box." Anyone that does not have
this communicator box or a PC in the future will be out of touch.

Just my opinion on another reason to buy LSI, since they have
the first system on a chip for one of these boxes.
