Now that we have streaming realtime(12 downloads/minute) quotes; we have the ability to size up what the market makers do.

The format of the streaming data is not as good as streaming chart, because charts are easier to read. The most important trend info is the bid and ask size. It is constantly changing from one market maker to another due to the last trade. This is a quick view of a successful market maker recording the last trade and his last bid and ask offer. Then there is the volume up to date.

This is good if you don't actually use the data for daytrading. The data could go by very very fast; not giving you a chance to trade at the last numbers. But if a trend can be established; you can put in a limit order ahead of time(never in minutes but in seconds).

Lets see if we can develop some investing strategy using this tool? If realtime flashes 12 times a minute, for popular stock several trades would be missing.
