Anyone who has been reading me for a while could find my address and phone number in a matter of minutes. I use my real name and I've amply described where I live.

Is it because you want the freedom to express yourself without fear of retribution by other members or authorities somewhere?

I protect myself by always being civil, by doing so hopefully not triggering a reaction that would threaten me. Not that I wouldn't be civil anyway.

Perhaps you define freedom only as a restraint on action.

E posted the definition. I did not take exception to it. Absence of restraint was the essence of it, seems to me.
