The writers of the Koran took those prophets, and Icons, from the Hebrew books of the Bible, and claimed them as part of their history. Where is it written that Abraham ever fashioned a black cube? That would be making an idol, which is against the wishes of God, so the god Islam worships cannot be the same god. You don't even know who Gabriel was supposed to have visited. Islam came about long after the Hebrews had started writing the book of the old testament in the Bible. At that time, islam was just a bunch of arabs that wanted to be recognized as more than goat herders, and they went copy cat.

The Jews built Jerusalem, and the arabs wanted to take it away from them. The conflict for Jerusalem between the Arabs, and the Jews, has been going on for thousand of years, and at one time, after the Jews were forcefully spread all over the world, the Arabs grabbed all of Jerusalem because it had no Jews left to defend it from the onslaught.
