My guess re: eps 4Q is they took out the possibility of a big licensing windfall from Mitsubishi and put it off into 97? I know Mitsu's side of the lawsuit is due next month. Others have said it's a game of bluff-- we pretend to really sue each other until just before the court date when, miraculously, our $400/hour lawyers, who knew all along who was intruding on whose patents, come to their senses and settle up with each other just before court date. Maybe Dabney/Resnick is discounting this happening until AXC's side goes to court early next year. Gotta love those $400/hr lawyers tho!

A comment and ? for Gus in previous post: what's the industry news re: digital tv? I know it's been a cat fight between the broadcast industry and the computer industry, broadcast wanting ironclad rules so everyone can comply with no chance of change, vs computer industry which just wants broad guidelines so industry can evolve along new tech breakthroughs.

A note re: AXC trading. If you look at past months, and I've been watching since mid 95, this baby always moves up dramatically, then pulls back in a long slide, until the next mania drives it up higher. Rest easy, REAL news will drive this baby HIGHER than the rumor. hang on for the long haul.
