I do think there's a difference between holding personal beliefs about a subject, and publicly stating such views being the actual basis of the administration's policies.

I somewhat agree. However, I'm well aware of the Intelligent Design movement within the USA, who privately clearly admit the religious reasons for their movement, but in the public sphere, attempt to deny it and claim they are merely advancing good science.

What guides your global vision is the issue, not your public admission or denial of it.

FWIW, I see the same dynamics at play in many of the right wings approaches to current problems, from the ME to environmental issues. The MSM seldom confronts this head on.

PS. The Left clearly suffers from many delusions as well :)
