I meant rcp uses the average instead of any single poll. RCP averages all the polls in each category. For example, the bush vs kerry national poll averages the latest 6 polls.

This eliminates the fringes of the poll results that tend to be too high for either one candidate.

Just because a poll says correct within +/-4% 95% of the time does not mean it is. :)
