If UPS had issued bonds in the past, then they don't have the quiet period. A bond is a financial instrument whereby a company borrows money and pays in back over some period of time with interest. Now, UPS has all those big airplanes that don't come cheap. It would be a good guess that UPS may have issued bonds in the past to do things like buy all those airplanes from Boeing. William #87
