Words from QCOM's IR department...

Just got off the phone. They said:

On China Unicom deal:
"We are confident in the CDMA framework with China Unicom. We are committed to continue to build a strong mutually beneficial working relationship with China Unicom and Chinese manufacturers. We look forward to supporting them in the deployment of CDMA to meet market needs for higher capacity voice and high speed data services. It is our understanding that China Unicom plans to support CDMA while continuing to support its existing GSM systems."

on Korean government's banning subsidies to service providers:
...It's old news, on & off statement.
...QCOM doesn't believe it will have any material effect on its revenues or earnings.

QCOM's IR department is aware of current misinformation. They are working with PR now.

Good luck, everyone. Cheer up ;-).
