"most Muslim countries are undergoing a decrease in fertility," Yep. (A good thing too because many there need a slower growth rate or there will be little room for economic growth and wealth accumulation or the emergence of 'Western-style' Middle Class.) "as is India," (Very mixed picture there I believe....) "it seems to being occurring inversely to education." Yep. A little education and people want to live fuller, richer lives. Women imagine lives beyond merely being barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen and dying mid-thirties after 8, 10, 12, kids.... Imagine that. :-) "So the smarter we get the closer to extinction we become." No way, no how. <GGG>
