Microsoft Monopoly

On the Issue of Free Choice:
One could make the argument that trains have free choice. In theory, they could choose to come and go as they please. But, you lay down the tracks, and that's where they go.

PS: Over the last week it looks like the vast majority of us have come to appreciate the existence of a Microsoft monopoly and the competitive issues involved . Well, all except a few. Why is the concept of monopoly so hard for some people to grasp? Why are so many shallow arguments so deeply held? Is it a psychological rather than an intellectual sort of thing? Hey, does Microsoft make us all a little crazy? HR
