For those who haven't seen it:

<<NEW YORK -- Morgan Stanley Dean Witter analyst Jay Deahna cut his investment opinion on five chip equipment stocks to neutral from outperform, according to a note from the firm.

Deahna cut his ratings on ASM Lithography Holding NV (ASMLF), Dupont Photomasks Inc. (DPMI), KLA-Tencor Corp. (KLAC), Lam Research Corp. (LRCX) and Silicon Valley Group Inc. (SVGI) to neutral from outperform. In the note, Deahna wrote that "all five stocks approached, met or exceeded our stock price targets late last week."

Deahna left his earnings estimates unchanged on the stocks.

But he said a "meaningful" recovery in new orders for semiconductor equipment is unlikely until mid-1999.>>
