I have a picture of my mother and her team-----she has her headband on with team name------she could shoot a basket as well as my brothers. I learned to dunk a ball but it wasn't my thing---fun for exercise but not what I was interested in. Did teach my younger brother to pitch a baseball----or softball. That was fun. Many high schools still have intra women's teams that don't travel to play but play within the school----i.e. Freshman vs. Sophomores (class teams)------and some have traveling women's teams. If you are in an area where your children or grandchildren are not getting these chances, then lobby the schools and school boards. Can't stay with this today-------have a lot of projects going.
