According to Mueller, the DNC hack went as follows:

DNC server in Illinois ----> "overseas middle server" ----> master "AMS panel" in Arizona

Mueller claims the insertion of an overseas server between DNC computer and an Arizona server is supposed to "mask" Russian government involvement.

Does that make sense? No. Russian government involvement is LESS evident if data transferred from DNC directly to an Arizona server. Why would Russian government insert an international transfer of data "overseas" and then back to US? That would draw MORE attention and scrutiny.

SSCI saw this flaw in the fairy tale and cleaned it up: instead of saying the middle server is "overseas", they say it is "external".
