Well Carl, You were right and I was wrong. I really felt this case would be settled, and the settlement would benefit Rambus more than Inf. As with any legal proceedings, the parties have to weight the risks and rewards of moving forward. Despite all the "noise" around the evidence (or purported evidence), I thought Rambus had more arrows in their quiver than turned out to be the case. I have been very busy lately and have not been able to follow the intimate details of all the developments, but sometimes just the end of the journey is more revealing than the path to get there. The appeal may turn out differently, but the pain and uncertainty in the interim makes me just tired. As Jerry Orbach says to Patrick Swayze at the end of Dirty Dancing, "When I'm wrong, I say I'm wrong". Congratulations on being more correct than I. My covered calls will expire worthless again this month, I think.
